Not worth the money

So, we were there for just one night, and everything was pretty much a disaster. The room I finally got had not even been vacuumed well, and it seriously felt like I was stepping back in time with the dirt. I waited HOURS for the A/C to cool down, but it felt like an oven the first hours.

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive,, but I guess for a last-minute stay you gotta take what you get.

It was just a perfect match for a lightning stop in Angola-on-the-Lake with all in all brilliant value for money. The water in the shower was hot, but I put towels down to step on, which helped. If cleanliness matters, maybe bring your own cleaning supplies.

Unfortunately, the room felt outdated and dingy, with burn marks on the bedspread and a persistent odor of stale cigarette smoke, despite supposedly being a non-smoking room. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim, making it uncomfortable to use. I also encountered issues with inadequate cleanliness, as remnants from previous guests were found in various areas of the room.

I had a lovely stay at Angola Motel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The location is charming, just 2 miles from the serene shores of Lake Erie, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

A surprising experience for a short stay

I stayed for just one night, and honestly, it felt a bit like a game of 'Guess the Mystery Stain' as I noticed various unsightly marks around the place. The shower had some mold, and the carpet was definitely in need of a thorough cleaning. However, I was relieved that there were no bugs in my room, which is a bonus. Just a heads up, you might want to bring your own cleaning supplies if you're particular about cleanliness.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were well-kept, and the property is near beautiful, uncrowded beaches that are perfect for relaxation.

However, some areas need a little more attention to cleanliness.

The Queen Room was comfy and quiet, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring the local sights. I loved spending time in the sunny garden area and taking a relaxing stroll along the beach access, which added a nice touch to my stay. The TV remote was a bit finicky, but it didn't dampen my overall experience. 😊

Free parking was nice, but the flat-screen TV didn't work and the shower had mold.

The motel was spacious enough for my family of six, perfect for our needs. We loved exploring the local parks and the beach was just a short walk away, which was a real hit with our four young kids.

My children wanted better cleanliness in the room.

The room needed significant cleaning, as food remnants were found in the microwave and the toilet was in poor condition. Water pressure in the shower was inadequate, and the overall atmosphere was quite unsettling, with signs of neglect throughout the property. I did appreciate the Danish pastry offered, but it didn't make up for the lack of basic amenities and cleanliness.
